Our 1 Year Old

Little Michael had his first birthday June 28th! So much fun, although what are you really supposed to do for a one year old? We let him decide which little personalized cake he wanted at the store- he chose the chocolate cake as opposed to the white one. At first he tried to dig in with his fork, however, he soon realized his hands and face could get a lot more than the little fork. Dan and I ate a bit, but considering we still had 7 slices of cheese cake in the fridge from our anniversary 3 days earlier, we decided to just pick up a little cake just for Mikey. I think Michael was in heaven. What ever he had left over, he had for breakfast the next day. Yeah, that's what he gets when his mom has a sweet tooth and is snaking on the cake in the morning and he sees her. Good thing he only has one birthday a year- gotta take care of those 6 teeth and keep them from decaying. Along with all the other amazing presents he got from everyone (thanks everyone), he also got a little fantail goldfish and black moor goldfish. He now points to everything and there are a few things that he will point to when asked where they are- the celing fan, the light, and the fish. So, since he apparently knows what the "fish" are, I thought it'd be fun to get him some of his own on his first birthday. The fantail is looking a little sick lately, but the moor seems happy. I hope one'll survive long enough for Michael to understand they were a present for his first birthday. :)
